Center for Brooklyn History- Trace/s: Family History Research and the Legacy of Slavery in Brooklyn

Exhibition researcher, 2024.

Conducted archival research on the history of enslavement in Brooklyn for Center for Brooklyn History’s Traces exhibition. Worked in CBH’s Othmer Library handling fragile archival material (c.1700s-1900s). Determined which materials should be pulled according to exhibition’s contents and exhibition director’s requests. Tracked materials in spreadsheets and made final selections. Used library’s finding aid to organize and request archival materials. Liaised between exhibition director and archivists.
