About

Hello! My name is Nihil Solomon (he/him) and I am an urbanist researcher, writer, and archivist based in Queens, NY. I specialize in New York City history, and am passionate about unearthing and preserving the histories of those who often get pushed to the margins. My areas of expertise and interest include People's History, LGBTQ New York, public transportation, bicycle infrastructure, accessible infrastructure, Jewish New York, and so much more.

I graduated with honors from The New School in 2021 where I majored in Urban Studies with a minor in Japanese Language Studies. I was awarded the Eugene Lang Civic Engagement and Social Justice grant in Fall of 2020 for my Capstone Thesis, FTP: Imagining the People's City.

If you are looking for someone to help tell your story, I am a thorough and patient researcher who is able to take on large quantities of archival material and make them concise and accessible to a broader audience. I am proficient in Content Management Systems, Google and Microsoft Suites, and am a skilled editor and proofreader.

I look forward to hearing about any exciting projects that you are working on!
